A very nice opportunity to get to know Patty Green’s wines. From her Estate vineyard (planted 1988), the Reserve is made from more forward, open, barrels not quite right for the Estate blend. Generous, fresh, aromas of bright cherry, watermelon rind, and fresh earth lead to a light, crisp, palate with elegant cherry and cranberry fruit and a dash of baking spice. Very fresh and palate cleansing now, this is a fine Willamette Valley Pinot to sip on its own or pair with salads or fresh salmon.
