This blend of marsanne and rousanne from the Northern Rhone will make you forget what you thought you knew of white St. Joseph. What? What's that you say? Oh, you don't know anything about this sort of wine? You thought St. Josephs were burly, tannic syrah-based reds? Like its more famous neighbor, Hermitage, both reds and whites are made here. And this delectable white delivers lots of what you look for in a fine Hermitage Blanc, with its slightly golden color and complex aromatics of honey, citrus, stone and pear. On the palate, this white is both zippy and honeyed, always dry, but with a certain creamy richness on the tongue. Quite addictive. Now you know!
