It’s easier to work organic when your landscape is so barren that bugs can’t survive and so dry that rot and mold just never get started! But it’s tougher to make such a juicy, fresh, easy-drinking Spanish red that delivers so much flavor and character at this price.
With plenty of soft, juicy fruit from Monastrell, this is a fantastic “pizza night” wine, while Tempranillo adds enough acidity to help it stand up to tomato sauce and cheese as well as a wide variety of other foods. It has a deep purple color and great depth of flavor, yet isn’t heavy. Bodegas Bleda is a producer that’s new to our store, and this wine exemplifies what we enjoy about its wines – they are made in a style that will please Old and New World wine lovers alike, but still retain a sense of place.
