The 2008 Carabella Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from six vineyard blocks planted to five different Pinot Noir clones. A generous 2008 that's fun to drink with rich foods now, it will continue to develop more complexity over the next 5-7 years.

"Dark red. Dark berries and cherry on the nose, with deeper notes of singed plum and mocha. Rich and warm on the palate, offering pliant dark fruit compote flavors and a touch of licorice. Seamless, round and gently sweet on the finish, which repeats the dark berry and plum notes. This would work with rich red meat dishes, even lamb."International Wine Cellar 89 points

"Supple and velvety, this is a generous mouthful of plum and berry fruit on a lean, lithe frame. This picks up nice hints of meat and spices as the finish rolls on. Drink now through 2018. 681 cases made."Wine Spectator 91 points
