Proof that "Kosher" and "Delicious" aren't contradictions at all! This is a classic Chardonnay that straddles New World and Old World styles with a creamy texture, ripe orchard fruit and pineapple, and just the right touch of spicy oak and fresh butter on the end. From a prime vineyard in northern Galilee, it's Kosher for Passover, but more than delicious enough to enjoy all year long.

- Anton Bauer Gruner Veltliner Gmork 2011 Product #25281 (In Stock)
-
-
The 2011 Gmork actually has a bit more minerality than the Three Star 2009 did along with a touch better richness and definition. Even fresh off the boat in November, 2011, The Post could already see the quality: “The Anton Bauer Gmörk has been one of my favorite bargain whites for years; this vintage arrives early because Austria experienced a warm growing season with an early harvest. The wine offers delicate aromas of white flowers and orange blossom, and limpid minerality. It should develop a bit more complexity over the next few months. Three Stars."
We agree with importer Klaus Wittenaur: “Best Gmörk to date!! This is what good GV should taste like. Aromatic on the nose, a beautiful play of perfume, apple, tropical fruit and acidity. All the aromas follow through on the palate and then the wine has a dry clean finish with a touch of white pepper. There is no other single vineyard Grüner on the market that can beat this taste and price-best value!!!" Grab a case or two now at this special price and enjoy it all spring and summer long with crunchy salad, crisp garden vegetables, grilled sausages, or even fried chicken. - Reina De Castilla Sauvignon Blanc 2011 Product #26948 (In Stock)
-
-
This lovely Spanish Sauvignon Blanc bursts from the glass with bold aromas of peach, apricot, passion fruit, and mango. In the mouth, it's at once bright and round and packed with orchard fruit, citrus, and green pineapple fruit and just the right dash of herb. Showy, but easygoing and very sippable, there's enough fruit here for New Zealand SB fans in a more relaxed, easy, package.
- Henri Bourgeois Sauvignon Petit Bourgeois 2011 Product #26227 (In Stock)
-
-
Basically a “baby Sancerre”, this exciting young Sauvignon Blanc is grown on the same chalky slate soils you’ll find across Sancerre from 10-40 year-old vines, fermented in stainless steel and allowed to rest 3 months on the fine lees. The vineyard is located just outside the legal boundary of Sancerre, but the flavors make you feel right in the middle!
Generous, fresh, aromas of fresh flowers, just cut grass, white grapefruit, and a hint of wet stones burst from the glass. Then in your mouth this crisp, lithe, wine fairly vibrates with more citrus and green apple fruit, tangy gooseberry, and fresh grass. The acidity is refreshing, if a touch softer than last year, and the fruit flavors are juicy and bright. Served cold, it’s thirst quenching and refreshing. Let it warm up a touch and it’s layered, complex, and a fantastic match for seafood, fresh vegetables, and – of course – goat cheese. - Santa Barbara Verdicchio 2011 Product #25910 (In Stock)

- Dom Philippe Plantevin Cotes Du Rhone Blanc 2006 Product #21954 (In Stock)
-
-
So, you see “Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2006” and you think, “Well, that’s got to be over the hill!” Think again, because Philippe Plantevin’s 2006 blanc is just getting started and will put many CdP Blanc’s (at 3x the price) to shame! A blend of 40% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, and 30% Marsanne, the 2006 CdR Blanc has moved past its primary, fruity, youth and emerged as something very special indeed. The aromas are rich, deep, and wildly complex. The main note is beeswax, but beeswax from a hive that feeds on lavender and thyme, along with fresh figs just picked on a hot summer day and dried orange peel. I realize this is getting pretty out there, but the aromas are exotic, wild, and compelling.
In the mouth, big flavors and even bigger acidity. Dried honey, orange peel, peach skin and even a touch of Earl Grey tea swirl around the entry and midpalate before fantastic acidty wells up and scrapes your tounge clean. The finish is long and brings more exotic fruit along with a pretty vanilla note that lingers nicely. At once cream and super vibrant, and sure to be amazing with everything from cod or halibut in a cream sauce to ripe cheeses. - Cono Sur "vision" Sauvignon Blanc 2012 Product #26328 (In Stock)

- Dom La Bastide Viognier 2011 Product #26618 (In Stock)
-
-
Here's an unexpected Viognier value from a small Cotes du Rhone grower located near Corbieres. All the aromatics and flavor you'd expect from fine Viognier - honeysuckle, fresh flowers, peaches, apricots and tropical fruits - in a clean, dry, package. A note of fresh cream and spice shows up in the middle and juicy acidity keeps things fresh on the pretty finish. There's good minerality here with the fine ripeness, but - at 12.5% ABV - no heaviness at all.

-
-
Easily the best sub-$25 Pinot Grigio we’ve tried in years, this is Pinot Grigio for folks who like flavor with their crisp, refreshing, whites. At once crisp and rich and bursting with bright green pear, apple, peach and citrus and a long, mouthwatering, saline-inflected finish. Not surprising that Wine Enthusiast named this #39 on their Top 100 Wine Values of 2012!
"This gorgeous Pinot Grigio displays the fresh aromatic fragrances associated with cool-climate, mountain winemaking. Layers of jasmine, tangerine, cut grass and white almond appear on the bouquet, giving this wine a delicate and feminine personality. A spicy touch of acidity drives the clean, bright finish."Wine Enthusiast 90 points
- La Formica Soave DOCG 2011 Product #26771 (In Stock)
-
-
We (and many of you) loved the 2010 La Formica Soave for its marriage of rich texture and bright, refreshing, acids. The 2011 is at once richer than the 2010 – even more mouthfilling and round – and more fresh and vibrant. Once again, it’s 100% estate-grown Garganega, Soave’s best grape, hand harvested and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel (no oak to mask the flavors).
The color is classic Soave – golden yellow – as are the generous aromas of almonds, lemon zest, white flowers, apricot, and dash of fresh ginger. In the mouth, there’s the fantastic yin/yang of richness and zing that makes Soave so captivating. The texture is silky and round and coats your mouth completely, but the flavors are bright and fresh – Myer lemon, lime zest, tangy apricot, yellow apple and golden pear fruit with just a touch of honeysuckle and fresh almond. The citrusy acidity scrubs your palate clean as the boisterous fruit and honesuckle flavors go on and on. Excellent to sip on its own and a lovely match for simple chicken, freshwater fish, or crunch vegetable dishes. - Egret Chardonnay California 2011 Product #26883 (In Stock)
-
-
Here's a versatile and delicious California Chardonnay built to satisfy a crowd - and you! Ripe, creamy, and fresh, the aromas and flavors feature juicy apple, pineapple, peach, citrus, and salty caramel. Mostly made in stainless steel for brightness and fruit, the 15% aged in oak delivers just a hint of smoke to complement the buttery notes on the back. Lots of lees stirring gives it a creamy, round, mouthfeel and the juicy apple and sweet butter caramel flavors linger nicely on the fresh finish. A fine party or everyday Chardonnay and outstanding value.
- Chapoutier Bila Haut Cotes Du Roussillon Blanc 2012 Product #27053 (In Stock)
-
-
Better than the 88 point 2011 or even the 90 point 2010, this blend of tank-raised Grenache Blanc, Macabeu, and Grenache Gris is complex and floral but still nicely structured and fresh. Generous aromas of peach, apricot, honeysuckle, and pink grapefruit burst from the glass. The flavors follow in a richly textured, but mouthwatering, wine that rides a beam of salty, chalky, mineral through a long, generous, finish. As the Advocate said of the fine 2010, "What a fine introduction to Roussillon whites and terrifically versatile accompaniment at table this will make over the next 2-3 years if not beyond!"
- Saintsbury Chardonnay Carneros 2010 375ml Product #26294 (In Stock)
-
-
A classic and classy Carneros Chardonnay with plenty of richness but fine balancing acidity. Works equally well at table or just to sip.
"There’s a bit of oak here, but not too much, giving a smoky, buttered toast richness to the orange, lime and pineapple fruit. It’s a rich, flashy Chardonnay, with crisp acidity and a clean, spicy finish."Wine Enthusiast 92 points
- Novellum Chardonnay 2011 Product #26653 (In Stock)
-
-
Crazy value here!
"The outstanding 2011 Novellum competes with some of the finest Macon-Villages wines one can find. It is made from 100% Chardonnay (from 25- to 30-year-old vines), aged three months in a combination of Burgundy barrels (30%) and stainless steel tanks (70%), and, somewhat innovatively, is aged on Viognier lees which gives it a honeysuckle and white peach-scented nose. There is also a salty sea breeze character reminiscent of the crushed oyster shell-like note my colleague David Schildknect often detects in Loire Valley whites. This crisp, fresh, medium-bodied Cotes Catalanes exhibits lots of earthy/terroir characteristics. Readers should think of it as a brisk, zesty, authoritatively flavored Chardonnay from the cool, alluvial soils on the banks of the Aigly River."Wine Advocate 90 points
