This 90 pointer is 100% Godello made in steel but with extra richness from four months aging on its lees. Bright lemon, peach and honeysuckle aromas lead to supple orchard fruit flavors with a dash of refreshing bitterness and a hint of tarragon. Fine wine, stellar value.
"Light gold. Intensely perfumed scents of lemon and blood pith, dried pear and anise, complicated by a subtle almond quality. Deep, pliant orchard and pit fruits on the palate, with refreshingly bitter quinine and tarragon notes on the back end. Dusty minerality adds bite and grip to the long, tangy finish, which leaves a note of tarragon behind."International Wine Cellar 90 points

Importer Jonas Gustafasson brings us this fascinating white blend from Spain’s Terra Alta region - traditional Garnatxa Blanca spiced with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and a dash of Muscat. A pretty and complex nose of peach and peach skin with a touch of citrus, grass, and summer flowers. Then rich and zippy on the palate with green peach, Clementine and orange zest flavors. Creamy texture with a bit whomp of acidity to keep things fresh and then a bitter grape skin and mineral. Delicious!

If you don't drink Txakoli in the summertime...well, you should. Txakoli (pronounced SHAH-koh-lee) comes from the high hills of Spain's Basque country overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It's just about the most perfect seafood or hot, muggy, afternoon wine in the world. Txomin Etxaniz Getaria is a a benchmark example, blending 75% hondarrabi zuri and 25% hondarrabi beltza grapes to deliver generous aromas of citrus, wet stones and flowers start. Then, it's clean, very crisp, and a little prickly on the tongue (some dissolved CO2) with green apple and citrus fruit complemented by notes of talc and orange zest. Long and energetic on the finish.

A fine follow-up to the WA 91 point 2009, Sylvia Puig's unique take on Priorat's overlooked Macabeu grape. Fermented in barrel and tank, the aromas show white peach, white pepper and a touch of pear. Ripe but very focused in the mouth, the flavors show off nutty orchard fruits, sweet spice, and accents of tarragon and chervil with a crisp, tangy, finish. A wonderful wine for seafood or anything with fennel or anise.
