- Grivault Meursault 2010 Product #26144 (In Stock)
-
-
“Baby Meursault” is good, but the “real deal” is better yet! The aromatics here are rich and toasty, with green and golden apple, roasted nuts, and a whiff of fresh butter mingling nicely. On the palate, the big, rich flavors of cultured butter, golden apples, and pineapple, are balanced by wonderful, lifted acidity, and plenty of minerality. The finish goes on and on with lingering notes of yellow fruits, fresh mint, and toasted nuts. Delicious!
- Ch Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2010 Product #26469 (In Stock)

Complex and very, very, long.
"The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc (80% Roussanne and 20% Grenache Blanc vinified in tank) exhibits very good acidity along with a lighter, more delicate style than previous vintages (malolactic is now totally blocked), and restrained orange peel, tangerine oil, white peach, honeysuckle and candle wax notes. This medium to full-bodied, zesty, fresh wine is still backward and unevolved, so cellar it for 1-2 years and drink it over the following 10+."Wine Advocate 90 points
"Juicy up front, with lively star fruit, peach and yellow apple fruit, this turns plush and languid, with alluring grilled hazelnut, sweetened butter and warm piecrust notes filling in on the finish. Sneakily long, thanks to the nicely integrated acidity. Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Picardan, Clairette and Bourboulenc. Drink now through 2015."Wine Spectator 93 points
- Dom Leflaive Puligny Montrachet 2010 Product #26437 (In Stock)
-
-
"A classic Puligny nose is both fresh and ripe with citrus, floral and white-fleshed fruit aromas where there is added nuance in the form of smoke and menthol hints. There is a lovely sense of refinement and energy to the silky and pure middle weight flavors that possess fine precision as well as faultless balance on the lingering finish. Good stuff for a villages level effort."Allen Meadows 89-91 points
"The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet caresses the palate with soft, expressive fruit. This beautiful, open Puligny villages will delight readers pretty much upon release. Hints of smoke, slate and crushed rocks are layered into the textured, inviting finish. It is another terrific entry-level offering from Leflaive. Anticipated maturity: 2012+."Wine Advocate 90 points
- Grivault Meursault 1er Cru Clos Des Perrieres 2007 Product #22932 (In Stock)
-
-
Every year, this wine makes the case that - whatever the official classifications say - there is Grand Cru terroir in Meursault. Focused minerality over rich fresh butter, nuts, mint, and orchard fruits with a delicious salty caramel note on the finish. Today this is verging on an oily texture and shows a lot of ripe fruit, especially for 2007. Give it 7 or 8 years and it will gain complexity, energy and - oddly enough - freshness to go with the deep, rich, flavors. Magnificent wine.
- Grivault Meursault 1er Cru Clos Des Perrieres 2008 Product #23798 (In Stock)

If Perrieres is the best site in Meursault, Domaine Albert Grivault’s small walled vineyard of Clos des Perrieres is the best of the best. Like almost all of the great Grand Cru vineyards of the Cote de Beaune, this sits on the break between the granite upthrust of the Cote and the finer limestone and clay soils below. In 2008, the wine’s texture is rich, almost unctuous, and the flavors are very intense. The flavors and aromas feature citrus, tropical fruit, grilled nuts, fresh cream butter, and brilliant fresh mint. Lots of richness, but balancing bright acidity as well and plenty of Meursault’s classic mineral character. A lovely wine to cellar for a while and drink over 10-15 years.
- Dom Weinbach Pinot Gris Altenbourg 2010 Magnum Product #26626 (In Stock)
-
-
A breathtaking example of Alsace Pinot Gris, rich but with the sweetness cut by laser-beam acidity. Brilliant.
"Bright yellow. Wild, exotic aromas of tropical fruits, apricot, caramelized pear and cinnamon apple. Silky, fat and sweet on entry, then racy acidity gives the mid-palate a firmer feel and more tension than the Cuvee Ste. Catherine bottling. Very concentrated pinot gris with a tactile, umami-like texture. A high-wire act of substantial sweetness (31.3 g/l) and brisk acidity (8 g/l). Finishes very long and pure, gaining in firmness with air."International Wine Cellar 91 points
"Layered flavors of apricot, almond, star fruit, spice and grapefruit zest mix in this silky white. It leans toward off-dry, but firm, well-meshed acidity and a zesty undercurrent of minerality keep it fresh and focused. Drink now through 2025."Wine Spectator 92 points
- Dom Weinbach Gewurztraminer Altenbourg 2010 Magnum Product #26627 (In Stock)

Hand crafted wine bottled in magnum by hand to our order. As far as we know, the only example you'll find in the USA!
"Full yellow-straw. Piquant spicy lift to the aromas of peach, honey and botanical herbs. Quite sweet and silky but not at all heavy thanks to harmonious acidity. Expands impressively in the mouth, spreading out to saturate the palate. In a very mellow style and not at all exaggerated, with a positive hint of finishing bitterness providing grip on the spicy, rising finish."International Wine Cellar 92 points
"A subtle note of white truffle adds depth to flavors of dried papaya and apricot, smoke, candied citrus peel and beeswax, while zesty acidity provides fine structure and focus, leading to a long, mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2025."Wine Spectator 93 points
- Dom Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schloss Ste Cath 2010 Mag Product #26625 (In Stock)
-
-
One of Alsace's best dry Rieslings, hand bottled in Magnum for us. Very limited.
"Very perfumed nose of flowers (iris, peony), tangerine, pineapple and crystallized ginger; showing a bit more lift today than the Schlossberg, even if this wine is from lower on the hillside. Then rich and suave on the palate, with an opulent mouthfeel to the flavors of stone fruits, nutmeg and mace. Finishes long and smooth, with a ripe apricot flavor complicated by minerals and spices. An excellent showing, and built for aging. According to Cathy Faller, this needs about three more years of bottle age to enter its optimal drinking phase."International Wine Cellar 92 points
"Well-knit and fresh, there's a quiet intensity to this elegant white, and a floral overtone to the notes of Jonagold apple, white peach, lemon zest, beeswax and toasted almond. Lingering mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2025."Wine Spectator 93 points
