A breathtaking example of Alsace Pinot Gris, rich but with the sweetness cut by laser-beam acidity. Brilliant.
"Bright yellow. Wild, exotic aromas of tropical fruits, apricot, caramelized pear and cinnamon apple. Silky, fat and sweet on entry, then racy acidity gives the mid-palate a firmer feel and more tension than the Cuvee Ste. Catherine bottling. Very concentrated pinot gris with a tactile, umami-like texture. A high-wire act of substantial sweetness (31.3 g/l) and brisk acidity (8 g/l).
