Produttori Del Barbaresco Barbaresco 2012 Product #30684 (In Stock)
Produttori Del Barbaresco Barbaresco 2012 Produttori Del Barbaresco Barbaresco 2012

Produttori del Babaresco didn't bottle any single-vineyard wines in 2012, so all of the fruit from those vineyards went into this powerful wine. With a beautiful balance between aromas of tobacco and ripe cherries, and chewy, well-integrated tannins, this is one to stock up on for the table and the cellar!

“A big, powerful wine, the 2012 Barbaresco hits the palate with surprising depth allied to nervous tannins that are going to need time to soften. Tobacco, smoke, licorice, menthol, game and a host of dark, ferrous notes give the wine much of its virile personality. The 2012 is not as finessed as some recent vintages, yet it offers considerable potential for the future. Most importantly, it is a terrific value at a time when well-priced Barbaresco is increasingly hard to find. In 2012, the Produttori did not bottle their Riservas. When that happens, the straight Barbaresco is often an overachiever. That is certainly the case here, as the 2012 offers outstanding quality for the money, with plenty of potential for the future. I can't think of too many wines that deliver this much pleasure and value.” Vinous 92 (Galloni) points

"A pretty red, boasting floral, strawberry and raspberry flavors, accented by tobacco and underbrush notes. The tannins are firm yet well-integrated, creating a balanced impression."Wine Spectator 93 points

Produttori Del Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano 2011 Product #30686 (In Stock)
Produttori Del Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano 2011 Produttori Del Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano 2011

Montestefano’s distinctive soils, unusually high in calcium,  make this one of the most powerful, even Barolo-like, wines from Produttori del Barbaresco.  Give it 5 years in cellar and enjoy for years and years to come.

“The 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano is one of the least expressive of these wines. Inward, powerful and explosive, the 2011 is not in a mood to show much today, that is pretty clear. Still, there is an obvious energy here that is impossible to miss. A firm spine of tannin gives the wine much of its signature power. Dark red cherry, smoke, pomegranate and scorched earth blossom on the dramatic finish. A wine of real density and gravitas, the 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano stands out for its pure, unbridled energy and overall intensity.”  Vinous (Galloni) 94 points

Produttori Del Barbaresco Riserva Paje 2011 Product #30687 (In Stock)
Produttori Del Barbaresco Riserva Paje 2011 Produttori Del Barbaresco Riserva Paje 2011

One of the coolest of the single-vineyard Crus in Barbaresco, Paje is always the most vibrand, pure, and crystal clear wines in Produttori's line-up.  If Asili is plush and Montesefano is power, then Paje is silk.  A classically-styled Barbaresco.

“One of the highlights in this range, the 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Pajè is also one of the most classic of these 2011 Riservas. Beams of underlying acidity and minerality give the flavors considerable thrust and brightness. Sweet mentholated notes wrap around a core of plush, red-fleshed plum and pomegranate fruit, leading to a brisk, refreshing finish. What is left to say? The 2011 Pajè is absolutely gorgeous. It's as simple as that. Pajè is one of the cooler micro-climates the Produttori work with, and that was a help in 2011.”  Vinous (Galloni) 95 points
